I like how Detroit loves their techno like crazy hellz yeah, how they pump their thick fists in the air at the thump of the bass. Fascinates the shit out of me. I can somehow manage gory or violent scenes, Black Swan, The Wrestler, Thirteen etc., but not this movie. I don't think I can ever watch it again, not that it's bad or worthless, but because the experience wouldn't be the same. It's emotional and intimate yet intrusive and detached. The movie itself thrives in dichotomies almost willing the audience to face the extremities of our humanity.

I miss sleepless nights typing away playing guitar humming to myself staring at the ceiling in my dark room literally rolling on my bed like the head over heels type gymnastic thing which is super fun provided that yr bed is small which amps the danger factor of falling off and giving yrself a concussion which would require several days in the hospital to get yr head checked and fixed. But bed gymnastics is highly encouraged especially when you can't sleep and yr sick of going online and blogging about shit (like this) in the middle of the night though excessive rolling will give you a headache which also amps the danger factor that makes this strenuous but certainly enjoyable activity fun f u n f u n f u n f u n

I kinda miss Deerhunter when they were punky, introverted, scratchy, abrasive and raw before Halcyon Digest came out. I miss the old Deerhunter, dysfunctional, B-52s, where Bradford frequently blogs how Lockett Pundt is his best friend.

Recently, I've been interested in dubstep and sampling and other sounds and tunes that sound like these. They're deeper I guess, than the normal indie trash that I listen to. The beats are bassier, almost with this oppressive moodiness. And the gaps saturated with cracks, bleeps, echoes and sometimes really really long solemn silences. I like it because it's unpredictable, not like the usual intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-outro structured pop songs. But it's repetitive at the same time with micro-samples looping on and on. I like the fact that the vocal samples are altered, pitched and reverberated that almost make it sound almost inhuman and yet, it feels warm and fuzzy and entirely relatable.
